Members and friends of Armadale Parish Church gathered at the Masonic Hall for a wonderful Scottish themed concert. Gavin MacDonald was our MC for the evening and entertained us with his excellent singing and humour.

Unfortunately we were missing the performance of our minister, Julia, as she was unwell.  The evening none the less was a great success and raised an amazing £1,152. The Fundraising Group are delighted with this final amount and hope that we can repeat a similar concert at a later date.

We had an excellent response to the appeal for knitted hats. Altogether 252 hats, 24 pairs of mittens, 15 scarves and 9 jumpers were donated.. Tracey Sinton has packed 85 hats to take to an orphanage in Belarus next week, and the remaining hats have been uplifted with the shoe boxes for the Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal.

This has been an amazing project completed in such a short time. The hats looked wonderful when they were all laid out, every colour shape and size. What an amazing sight - all sent to different places in the world 'with love' from Armadale Parish Church.

Quiz Night on 28th October.

We had a very good turn out for our Quiz Night in the Masonic Hall on Thursday night. Thank you to everyone who came along and to the donations to our buffet.

We made the fantastic sum of £433. Thank you also to George Wood, our quiz master who kept everyone on their toes with his varied and interesting questions.

The Scottish place names quiz was also drawn on the night and £252 was made from this. Well done everyone who took part.

Please feel free to change and adapt these prayers to suit your own context. This week our prayer comes from Iain McLarty, worship development worker with the Priority Areas team in the Ministries Council.
