We are again supporting Blythswood Care Shoebox Appeal this year. Leaflets can be downloaded or collected from Church. Last collection day will be Sunday 25th October 2026.
A list of suggested items can be found on the attached link, where you will also find knitting patterns and access to make cash donations. To assist with transport costs a donation can be placed in the leaflet envelope to go along with your shoebox.
Many thanks to everyone who participated in the Blythswood Care Shoebox appeal 2025.
82 shoeboxes, along with various amounts of knitted hats, scarfs, gloves, baby hats, mitts & baby blankets have been donated & are awaiting collection by the charity which is a fantastic response.
Your donation will make such a difference to the lives of young and old, one person at a time.
Cash donations of £96 were also received and donated online which will help the charity enormously.
The generosity & talent of our congregation and friends never fail to amaze.

We recently discovered that our three Stained glass windows are 100 years old this year. We thought you may be interested in what we found recorded. After carrying out some research from the Kirk Session minutes of 1925 we found the following extracts:
Congratulations to our minister Rev. Julia Wiley, who this week was made a U.K. citizen. She received this award at the Citizenship Awards held in Edinburgh City Chambers.
