Prayer and Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory
for ever and ever.
Amen.

Lord when the storms of life

1. Lord, when the storms of life arise,
   be near to keep me yet,
   my chosen portion and my prize
   in whom alone my refuge lies,
   on whom my hope is set,
   on whom my hope is set.
   

2. In God alone securely stand
   His saints for ever blessed,
   who shelter safe beneath His hand
   as in a fair and pleasant land,
   and in His presence rest,
   and in His presence rest.
   

3. Lord of our life, our strength and stay,
   whom yet unseen we love,

   sinking to rise no more,
   overwhelmed by guilt within,
   mercy I did implore.
   Then the Master of the sea
   heard my despairing cry,
   Christ my Saviour lifted me,
   now safe am I.
