Prayer and Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory
for ever and ever.
Amen.

CH4 462 The King of Love My Shepherd Is
-
The King of Love my Shepherd is,
whose goodness faileth never;
I nothing lack if I am his
and he is mine for ever.
-
Where streams of living water flow
my ransomed soul he leadeth,
and where the verdant pastures grow
with food celestial feedeth.
-
Perverse and foolish oft I strayed;
but yet in love he sought me,
and on his shoulder gently laid,
and home rejoicing brought me.
-
In death's dark vale I fear no ill,
with thee, dear Lord, beside me;
thy rod and staff my comfort still,
thy cross before to guide me.
-
Thou spread'st a table in my sight;
thy unction grace bestoweth;
and oh, what wonder and delight
from thy pure chalice floweth!
-
And so through all the length of days
thy goodness faileth never:
Good Shepherd, may I sing thy praise
within thy house for ever!

CH4 37 God Is Our Refuge, God Our Strength (Psalm 46)
-
God is our refuge, God our strength,
in troubled times our aid;
therefore, should earth itself be moved
we shall not be afraid:
-
Nor shall we fear if mountains fall
beneath the roaring waves,
or hilltops quake in surging seas:
ours is the God who saves.
-
There is a river which delights
the city of our God;
it flows through that most hallowed place
God chose for his abode.
-
God lives for ever at her heart,
she never will be moved:
each morning at the break of day,
God’s saving help is proved.

Hymn CH4 449 Rejoice! The Lord Is King
-
Rejoice! the Lord is King,
your Lord and King adore.
Mortals, give thanks and sing,
and triumph evermore:
Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;
rejoice; again I say: Rejoice!
-
Jesus the Saviour reigns,
the God of truth and love;
when he had purged our stains,
he took his seat above:
Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;
rejoice; again I say: Rejoice!
-
His kingdom cannot fail;
he rules both earth and heaven;
the keys of death and hell
are to our Jesus given:
Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;
rejoice; again I say: Rejoice!
-
He sits at God’s right hand
till all his foes submit,
and bow to his command,
and fall before his feet.
Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;
rejoice; again I say: Rejoice!
-
Rejoice in glorious hope,
for Christ, the Judge, shall come,
and take his servants up
to their eternal home:
We then shall hear the archangel's voice;
the trump of God shall sound: Rejoice!
